Project

Casa Abatantuono – Sesto Calende – Lake Maggiore – Italy

The house is built using rammed earth, an eco-friendly solution that employs local soil and non-toxic natural additives. This material, less rigid than concrete, absorbs electromagnetic waves and reduces reverberated noise. The 250 square meter house is designed to accommodate the Abatantuono family for wellness retreats by Lake Maggiore. It features a spa area and heated pools, offering near-total visual privacy. Thermally, the house is designed to operate in zones and uses buffer spaces to minimize heat loss.

The bioclimatic system of the Abatantuono house, designed by the architects at Daimon Design, stores thermal inertia during the winter and gently releases it throughout the evening. In summer, a combination of natural ventilation, shaded areas, and the heat-dissipating properties of water helps maintain a cool and well-ventilated environment.

Project of the house built in Italy, in Sesto Calende, near Lake Maggiore. This project harmoniously integrates nature and water, featuring indoor pools and a spa located within interior courtyards and patios, allowing residents to enjoy the presence of water and nature within the living spaces. These patios, with both indoor and outdoor pools, are designed as buffer zones, creating sequences and compartments in the house with varying levels of privacy.
