Villa D'Ursi – Wooden Extension – Italy

The Villa D’Ursi project involves a 20% extension of a single-family villa, creating two distinct units. The extension is oriented south/southwest to maximize thermal efficiency, featuring a passive bioclimatic greenhouse system for enhanced insulation.

On the north side, an opaque closure protects the building envelope, while an optimized interior design improves quality of life in compliance with current energy standards. The villa is organized around a thermal chimney, separating active and passive zones.

The project uses natural and sustainable materials, with an affordable cost of €2,000 per m², thanks to prefabricated construction that reduces timelines and material degradation.

Supervised by Daimon Design, experts in sustainable architecture, the project reflects a strong commitment to energy performance and environmental responsibility.

This project also demonstrates Daimon Design’s ability to carry out innovative and sustainable architectural interventions, meeting contemporary demands for quality of life and energy efficiency.
